We made this board in our Paso Robles shop from walnut we rescued from an orchard tree.

The walnut is dark and full of movement, swirling and folding across the board with lighter golden streaks where the grain turns. Along the right side, a pour of metallic red epoxy meets the wood along a wavy line and runs edge to edge. Our tree emblem is laser-engraved in the lower corner.

It's finished with Butcher Block Revival, the same oil we recommend for keeping it up.

A tree has already lived one life by the time it reaches us. We give it another. There's only one board like this, and the next one from this tree will look different. It's made for serving, so keep the knives on a cutting board.
